Anguished 

is how you feel

thinking that everything is real

but it is not 

and it cannot  be!

Half of life

is just a mere delusion,

you see!

Burned

as if walking on real fire

when you only have to wear

your forced attire! 

Tired to the bone

waiting to reach home

when home can simply be

a word uttered to thee!

Bewitched

with dreams that can't be reached

a world is to be beseeched! 

and 

You !?
a monarch 

with no crown

just a face in this hazy town!

Silenced 

for words seem to fail you still

as you struggle to express your 

twirling inner cell!

missed 

and missing 

the light that once shone 

that you thought you own

that taught you the reality of being alone

no centuries could atone

this loss of that you had known!

Bequeathed

to your day,

not a gift!

though in a way! 

but perhaps a burden 

of clay

and promised decay!

Delay ..

all that could be

hold life at a bay

stutter with your lousiest "cliche"

betray 

the day!

and wallow in dismay!

At the end,

a human still you would be

entangled with all that is meant to be

dreaming of being set free!

A mesmerizing Yanni piece (Voyage) ;)

A mesmerizing, tantalizing  piece from the musical magician Yanni...I had to post here ; a future reference for my musical taste which seems to swing , fall in love and get swiped off my feet ;)
Yanni somehow remained a constant love all through these years...
And I hope one day I'd attend one of his concerts and swoon over the pieces he wonderfully plays ;)


I so love this piece with its tantalizing shifts of notes and how it is endowed with a hint of Eastern music ;)


I hope whoever reads this post would enjoy it and find him/her self swinging along ;) LOL

drawn

with hushed tone!!

Do you really wait 

for the next utterances date?

praying night and day 

that they won't go astray!

and lose their path!

causing your wrath!?

No retreat 

is permitted

for thoughts 

have to be committed

& submitted

again

and again

to this excruciating 

process of pleasure and pain!

Words are haughty 

and quite naughty 

You can never drag them hither

and bind them forever!

They like to dwell 

within their own cell

At times they compel 

you to wait

at their very gate!

and if you are lucky 

you might catch a glance

of a word or two 

and have the romance

of dancing with words

or set you free !

A certain slant of light

obscured eternally!

a laugh stolen 

a smile broken

and a heart failing to beat

again

in the same old refrain

but echoing with pain!

never allowing you to be!

the whispers lost

eternally !

And a circular 

dream

seems to be the drifting 

vision that you could ever see!

There is a death 

that occurs silently 

within you!

so alive

so true!

the death of living 

as if never truly a life!

but dying slowly without a struggle

without much strife!

You give in,

surrender,

some past splendor !

and you live!

without the beat,

the heat,

the love complete!

There is a death

so becoming of you

spreading itself 

when time is due! 

when you lose all that is true

and choose not to be YOU!
